Elizabeth & Oliva - San Jose Family Photographer

This gorgeous location was the perfect spot for these two fairy girls to frolic around in, wasn't it? We were so lucky because just minutes before the session started, it was pouring rain and we were worried how we'd make it work. Dancing in the rain was my suggestion, but luckily, it eased up and we were able to enjoy the the field, despite the muck & mud. Elizabeth & Olivia are such good sports and so beautiful to photograph. Thank you so much, Tumacder Family!

Seger Family in South San Jose

This is my second time photographing the Seger Family, and I feel so blessed to be able to do their family photos again this year! They have become dear friends of mine, and I'm super lucky to be able to say that! 

Melissa saw Rachael & Sebastion's engagement session and she immediately messaged me and asked if they could do their family photos under that oak tree. Of course I was so excited! Someone else was willing to make the trek up that hill?? YES!!! The oak tree was a little more bare this time of year, but the sky was absolutely stunning, and Melissa, Rob, Lydia & Ellie were all amazing.

Salsamendi Family - An Adventurous Session!

Chrissie shared with me that previous photo shoots have been stressful and that the kids didn't really want anything to do with getting their picture taken. So she decided that she wanted to approach this session with a different idea. She packed a wagon full of toys and dress up clothes, and let Cora & Zac just go town having fun! It was seriously a blast to watch them play & run around.

Somewhere between story time and monkey in the middle, Chrissie asked me if I'd be willing to hop on Light Rail for some more pictures. Cora & Zac were almost as excited as I was with that question!

Jon & Alicia - University of San Francisco - A Family Session

I wish that I could write a Yelp review for my clients. Honestly, I've been so lucky to have worked with such wonderful people. Jon, Alicia, and their beautiful daughter Julianna were no exception. They were amazing! Fun, spontaneous, beautiful... what more could a photographer ask for?!

They're from Southern California, but they were up here for a wedding and wanted to get some family pictures done in The City by the Bay. Jon graduated from University of San Francisco, so we started on campus at St. Ignatius Church.

We managed to navigate through the city and go to several different locations! (Ok, it wasn't as easy as it sounds. We almost went across the Golden Gate Bridge by accident, but luckily we were able to exit last minute! Phew!) USF, Crissy Field, Palace of Fine Arts, we hit the big ones, and it was so much fun!

Thanks for such a fun and adventurous evening, Jon, Alicia, Julianna, & Joan! You guys were awesome! :)

Pope Family - My own family photos

As I'm gearing up for a very busy September, and an even busier October, I took the couple days of down time to do my own family photos! I love taking my family photos. It's a good excuse to get done up, and find somewhere new to go! We found a STUNNING location in South San Jose, and I think that I'll be doing my fall mini sessions here! A Mother's Day Celebration

This was my second Mother's day where I got to be the center of attention, and boy, did Evan make it special.

We spent the afternoon picnicking under a giant redwood tree at Kelly Park in San Jose. Just the three of us, sprawled out on a yellow chevron picnic blanket that was lovingly made by my mom,  and a basket of delicious treats. Blowing bubbles, and nibbling on juicy strawberries. It was a slice of perfection.

 

Oh and those purple flowers? He ran off to go pick them so that our picnic would be complete with wild flowers. Have I mentioned that I'm a lucky girl? I'm one lucky girl.
