Elizabeth & Oliva - San Jose Family Photographer

This gorgeous location was the perfect spot for these two fairy girls to frolic around in, wasn't it? We were so lucky because just minutes before the session started, it was pouring rain and we were worried how we'd make it work. Dancing in the rain was my suggestion, but luckily, it eased up and we were able to enjoy the the field, despite the muck & mud. Elizabeth & Olivia are such good sports and so beautiful to photograph. Thank you so much, Tumacder Family!

Afternoons out & scraped knees

Millie and I spent the afternoon exploring our local park. The weather has been nothing less than gorgeous, and it was so nice to feel the breeze in our hair and the sun on our skin!

While running along the paths, Millie fell and scraped her knee. Now... you may be wondering why I'm evening mentioning it, but it was her fist scraped knee! It's kind of like a right of passage, I suppose. Anyway, she wailed and with her arms outstretched in the air, she demanded that I pick her up.  She sobbed on my shoulder, and I had about 3.4 seconds to relish that she was holding me tight-- needing me to make everything better, until she was crying to be put back down to continue running around again.

Ah, she is fierce, this one. <3

Easter

Now that Easter is over, I've had some time to sit and edit some of the photos from our holiday!

My favorite part of any holiday are the traditions that have been passed down, and the new ones that we get to start. We did our annual brown-egg dying session.

but we also took some notes from Pinterest and started some new traditions!

I have horrible writing, so it only took me 239879283 times to write "Happy Easter" before it looked presentable for our front door. Ahh, the beauty of chalkboards-- So easy to erase! We also planted flowers in a pallet. It really spruced up our garden which was nice for our egg hunt! (For directions on how to make your own garden pallet, go here!)


A couple of weeks ago, we did a family photo session which was really fun. We found a mustard field that was in full bloom and we took advantage of it's spring gorgeousness!
